The PureMade Ball is a versatile animal enrichment device designed to provide physical and mental stimulation for a variety of species in both zoological and research environments. Measuring 2.5 inches in diameter, the Ball can be batted and rolled around the enclosure while providing a safe way for animals to satisfy their natural instinct to chew and gnaw.
A unique plus-shaped center hole allows caretakers to attach the Ball to a chain for secure hanging from enclosure tops or sides. The opening also transforms the Ball into a foraging puzzle: treats can be placed inside or frozen in the opening to extend engagement and provide additional foraging enrichment and mental stimulation.

How is it different from other enrichment?
Unlike traditional synthetic plastic or petroleum-based toys, the PureMade Ball is free from harmful additives like BPA, phthalates, pesticides, and carcinogens. It is biodegradable, compostable, and CO₂-neutral, leaving behind zero microplastics. For added safety, it is splinter-resistant and designed to gently flake into small pieces rather than breaking into sharp, dangerous fragments. Additionally, its "plus"-shaped center hole allows it to be securely hung from chains or stuffed with treats to create an engaging foraging puzzle.

When should I replace it?
We recommend inspecting the PureMade Ball regularly and replacing it whenever it begins showing moderate signs of wear. If you ever notice an animal is successfully breaking off larger chunks instead of the typical small flakes, please discontinue use and contact us for an alternative recommendation.
